Natural Cleaning With Essential Oils

Get these bottles here.

One of the things I love most about essential oils is their anti-bacterial properties. This means that I can make all those chemical laden household and personal cleaners at home and all natural with just as much, if not more, potency! Today I made all-purpose cleaner and hand sanitizer in about 15 minutes. It's so easy and even though I'm going to give you the recipe that I used, there are a lot of different way to make these very useful mixtures.

All Purpose Cleaner

1 Part Water
1 Part Vinegar
10-20 Drops of Anti-Bacterial Essential Oils

It's really that easy! I've listed the anti-bacterial oils below but I recommend Tea Tree & Lemon if you are only to going to use a few oils. They have other properties like antiviral and anti-fungal that are also great when we're talking about nasty 'ol germs!

Hand Sanitizer

Ingredients
Water
2 tbsp Aloe Vera Gel (you can get it here)
2 dropper fulls Vitamin E Oil (you can get it here)
3 tbsp Witch Hazel (you can get it here)
10-20 drops Essential Oils

Add all of your ingredients but water then fill the rest of the bottle with water. Again, this recipe is very flexible - you can really add more or less of any of the ingredients.

I am loving what EOs are doing for my family! I have been trying lots of recipes for things to make us happier and healthier! What would you like to see on future blog posts? Some of the things I have made include anti-wrinkle serum, face wash, shampoo, lotion, lip balm, oil blends for specific ailments, and detox baths.
